One of the biggest reasons this game failed initially is because the QB AI is horrible. It's basically Madden Coach Mode with the ability to gameplan, and give your players instructions on the sidelines to win the game instead of letting Madden dictate how your players play. While it has a head coaching engine on it, it's not as demanding as a text based simulator or NFL Head Coach 09.
This game is my favorite sports game of all time.
This game has a real feel Head Coach element, you go through practices, team and individuals, go through staff meetings, call agents, call potential staff members to set up in office interviews and then interview them.
